Atlanta has been home to me for most of my life, but photography has taught me that familiar places are never really finished revealing themselves.
A side street I've driven past a hundred times suddenly catches the afternoon light just right. A mural changes. A building disappears. A stranger's expression tells a story. The city is constantly evolving, and photography gives me an excuse to slow down and pay attention.
Howdy From Atlanta is a collection of those moments.
Some photographs will showcase the landmarks and neighborhoods that make Atlanta unique. Others will focus on the details that are easy to miss—the colors, textures, architecture, people, and everyday scenes that give a city its character.
I'm not interested in creating a perfect version of Atlanta. I'm interested in documenting the real one: beautiful, imperfect, creative, complicated, and alive.
Whether you're a lifelong Atlantan, a recent arrival, or just passing through, I hope these images help you see something familiar in a new way.
Thanks for stopping by.
